Article L. 320-8 of the same code prohibits the sale or free provision of such games to them. The statistics, filters, A/B zones and reductions are tools to help prepare and check grids. They constitute neither financial advice nor an encouragement to place bets. Correct predictions may result in winnings if the corresponding combination appears in the grids actually played and validated with the operator, and meets the conditions for a winning tier under its rules. The accuracy of the initial predictions is not sufficient if the combination concerned has been excluded by the filters or reduction, or has not been played. The award and amount of winnings depend on the operator's rules. The software does not guarantee winnings, profitability or recovery of the amounts staked.

Where the contract provides for a choice of law, it cannot deprive consumers of the mandatory protections of their country of habitual residence when the conditions of Article 6 of European Regulation No 593/2008, known as ‘Rome I’, are met.
